There are about sixteen principal waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Among them Dunhinda which is perhaps the best known of all gets its name from the smoke like spray it creates as its water falls into the rock pool below hence the name “Dunhinda”. Dunhinda is the most fantastic & attractive waterfall in Sri Lanka. Its height is 63 meters & in close proximity to Badulla town. The way to go to see the Dunhinda is very far & remote. But after seeing this fantastic waterfall the whole tiredness will disappear because it is so beautiful. Not only local people, lot of foreign tourists come to witness this marvelous waterfall daily.
